This week at Asturmadi, samples of our UL-certified doors will be taken to undergo the UL 10C test.
What does UL 10C mean?
In English, “Standard for Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies” is a fire test method applicable to swing doors, including door frames with glazing and panels, made of various materials and of various construction types, intended to be used to delay the spread of fire.
The tests expose a sample to fire in a controlled manner to reach specific temperatures over a specific period of time. A standard fire hose stream, as specified in the test report, is then applied.
