Door Opening Direction
Deciding which way the doors open can be a bit confusing, since there are many ways to determine this, and they’re all subjective. At Asturmadi Doors, we decide by pushing the door, since we think that’s the simplest way to do it.
Right- or left-opening
The direction in which the door opens is important when installing a door. If we choose the wrong opening direction, the door could hit obstacles and be inconvenient for the user.
We need to be aware of our position relative to the door, because this is where the most confusion arises. It doesn’t matter which hand you use to grasp the doorknob, or whether you’re inside or outside a room. Keep in mind that the door is always pushed from the side where the hinges aren’t visible, and that when you push it, it will open to the right or to the left.
